The Finals

These are a few of my finals that had me going a bit crazy, but a bit of my sanity for some art doesn't seem like too bad of a trade off to me. The jellyfish were silkscreened, then cut out carefully to give a 3D effect... the coral in the corner was made out of paper mache and then painted to look like coral.



The paintings below are my first real try at using watercolors, I think the toilet paper is funniest... I was told to paint a cylinder on a block of wood, so of course I'd paint toilet paper! It's a cylinder, it counts too! ...the painting below this one is lemons also in watercolor... it was to study how to mix the colors you need from the primaries [red, blue, yellow]

Apples!

These will end up being earrings, but I got so excited that they turned out looking like real apples that I just had to share with you guys!

More Nails I DID

One of my past times is to do my nails, its actually how I got into making mini food! I loved all the teeny tiny things that you could make for nails that I figured why not make them into necklaces and earrings? I really like things that are time consuming for some odd reason, makes for some cool art though... at least I think so! =]

Birthday Earrings

Recently a friend of mine had a birthday, so I made her a pair of earrings and got a tad carried away and ended up making 3 pairs instead. From there I starting thinking about all the things I could be making, so you'll be seeing a lot more mini food posts, after all Comic Con is coming up and I intend on having a few things there.

...As for the bacon hair clips, I'm not sure how to get that nice bacon look I want yet. I'll post that as soon as I figure it out those.

Emerald City Comic Con 2011

I've been busy, so much art and so little time. I have just gotten back from Emerald City Comic Con, and I'm going threw Con withdrawal! I miss all the artists and the feeling you get from being around so many inspiring people. This was the first time I actually had my little foods out for everyone to see and buy. Everything went well, and a lot got bought. I'm excited for my next convention in April! I'll have more foods for everyone to buy... I'll keep you updated! Right now I'm working on a breakfast batch of food... and yes, there will be bacon.
